In the Blue Series record released by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute since 2010, presenting the musical portraits of the most interesting personalities of the International Frederic Chopin Piano Competitions in Warsaw over the years, on March 1, 2016 Chopin Institute released the long awaited album with recordings of outstanding interpretations of Seong-Jin Cho - winner of the 17th Chopin Competition and the winner of the Frederic Chopin Society special prize for the best performance of the Polonaise.
The album includes solo pieces as well as Concerto in E minor, Op. 11 recorded during the Winners' Concert, October 21, 2015 where Seong-Jin Cho performed with the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk. The CD presents a recordings that were not released on making the record-breaking sales album, released immediately after the Competition by Deutsche Grammophon in collaboration with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute - but only these two publications, complementing - presents a complete portrait of a Korean artist.

Seong-Jin Cho: In April, I will record Frederic Chopin's First Concerto in E minor, Op. 11 for Deutsche Grammophon.

Yes. It will be with Maestro Myung-Whun Chung and Staatskapelle Dresden.
When this recording will be released?
At the end of this year.
And the next CD for Deutsche Grammophon will include Frederic Chopin's four Ballads?
Yes. I will record four Ballads in September.
In Berlin, as it was announced?
The venue has changed and I will record Chopin's Ballads in Hamburg.
