Seong-Jin Cho, 21-year-old pianist from South Korea, after his success at the 17th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition started a world tour with the concert with the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice (10/30/2015). He also gave concerts in Wroclaw, Poznan, Krakow, Paris, Amsterdam, Beijing, Tokyo ... On March 1, Seong-Jin Cho will return to Warsaw, where he will perform a recital on the occasion of the 206th anniversary of Frederic Chopin’s birth.
The stunning success, that Seong-Jin Cho’s recording, published Nov. 6, 2015 by Deutsche Grammophon, achieved, sold in quantities of more than 110 thousand copies, as well as the unprecedented interest in the Korean pianist’s concerts around the world, is the most beautiful reward, not only for the winner but also for the Fryderyk Chopin Institute - the organizer of the contest.
The final performance of Seong-Jin Cho made a record number of views on the Fryderyk Chopin Institute YouTube channel (currently over 3 400 000). We will soon have the opportunity to hear his interpretation of Frederic Chopin's Concerto in E minor, Op. 11 again, live, at the Lodz Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic, where Seong-Jin Cho, on February 16 and 17, will feature the 100th anniversary of the local orchestra, as well as on the album (the recording from Winner's Gala Concert on October 21, 2015), from March 1. Due to the recital by pianist at the Warsaw Philharmonic the recording of Seong-Jin Cho issued in the Blue Series by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute will be premiered.

We will also have an opportunity to hear the winner of the 17th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition during Chopin Festivals in Poland. Seong-Jin Cho will inaugurate the 71. International Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj, on August 5, where he already gave recitals in 2010 and 2012. On August 28 the artist will play in Warsaw at the Chopin and his Europe Festival performing Piano Concerto in B flat minor, Op. 23 by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
